So, it is a new month and with it comes a new payperiod, two of them in fact, and that is the nice thing
Why is it nice? Well, with the way the days fall, I have more days, and yes more hours on my paycheque.
Those who are paid by the hour know how precious this is, as it means that I start off with more money coming to me than other payperiods.
The ones in May were disastrously small, so much so that I had to raid my Holiday Fund at work in order to top up my paycheque.
I refuse to accept any paycheque that is smaller than my “Budgetary Minimum” a number that I established years ago, when I was buried in debt.
It was the minimum number that I needed to see on that paycheque in order to pay my bills.
Since I have gone through so much in order to claw back all of my paycheque (well, the after tax portion) then I refuse to take less money because I “need” less.
(Don’t get me started on no raise since 2014.)
Anyways, with sales being slower and lower at this time, it is more vital than ever to start off with a larger number, as I can’t really rely on my commission (from online sales) to bump up my paycheque.
So, new month, new better fiscal outlook! Happy times ahead, because I choose to see it that way.
As always: Keep your head up, your attitude positive, and keep moving forward!
