This morning I sat down, and with no other distractions going, had a cup of coffee and tried to make peace with my path in life.
I have regrets, mostly of them are the paths not taken, with a few arguably ones that I should have taken.
In the end, I didn’t go down those paths; I went gone down this one, the one that has taken me to this place, to my current situation.
I have regrets, sure, but I must not let them weigh me down, drag me down rather, down into anger and despair.
I must choose to see the positives of my life and take note of the skills, abilities and advantages that I currently have.
Ones that I would not have, had I chosen a different path in life.
Learning to deal with regrets is a constant process, and one that I am constantly working on.
Having a chat with yourself is something I recommend (with some sort of non-alcoholic drink, naturally).
Go easy on yourself, as you can’t exactly fire yourself, or divorce yourself. You are stuck with you, so learn to accept the past, work on the present and prepare and plan for a better future.
After all, that is really all you can do.
As always: Keep your head up, your attitude positive, and keep moving forward!
(PS: it is officially 2m:3w to Total Debt Freedom Day)
