I have found a way to make Total Debt Freedom Day, after all!
For those of you following along at home, I recently ran the numbers and found that I was going to fall short of being totally debt free by October 23rd of this year.
Well, I have been looking at my budgets and found a way to squeeze that missing hundred bucks out of my budget.
In the process I will gain a (perhaps) slight (if unhealthy) health benefit along the way . . .
I will reduce my food budget from $60.00 a paycheque to $40.00 a paycheque . . . eat less and save more, so to speak.
I can make this work. I have to make this work, because Total Debt Freedom Day is not really Total Debt Freedom Day, if I am carrying a balance on a credit card . . . is it?
I have devised a way to balance nutrition and savings, all without using my refrigerator. It is not pretty, or desirable, but it is what I have to do, to get this done.
It is a long shot, but it is a shot that I have to take. If (and when) I manage to get extra cash in my budget, the first place that I will direct it towards is the food budget.
This is temporary and just until I finally turn the page on debt, something that I need to do for: me, my freedom, and my peace of mind.
As always, Keep your head up, your attitude positive, and keep moving forward!
