Budget Takes a Hit, But Still On Track

So, with the end of year, comes my Christmas Break. It is the one time of year that I actually take a vacation.

Yet with things being so tight this year, (as a result of my end of year push) I have been trying to put off booking the site for my Christmas Break.

I have been checking the booking website regularly, and have noticed that the sites have been disappearing. (I've already lost my favourite spot.)

So, yesterday I went ahead and booked my site for my Christmas Break.

I booked the site on my Low Interest Credit Card, so I could technically just carry a balance until the new year . . . technically.

The thing is that while I CAN carry a balance on a credit card, I am unable to actually do it . . . I just can’t stand having any outstanding balance on a credit card (after payday).

So, I will just bite the bullet, pay this off now (which will make the Savings Contribution of this Tuesday’s Payday take a hit).

You see this payday I will also pay off paying for my mailbox for a year in advance (it’s cheaper that way and I get a month free).

I made a few adjustments in my budget and I may have to take a smidgen more out of the vacation fund (at work) in order to do it, but I will still make my savings target by year’s end.

All it takes is dedication, belief in yourself and to follow through with your plans (and perhaps not buy as many books . . . sigh).

As always: Keep your head up, your attitude positive, and keep moving forward!
